Better Start Bradford 
Provides over 20 projects for pregnant women and families with babies and children aged under four in Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton.

The projects help families with: reading, healthy cooking and eating, support in the home, play, English language skills and much more.

To access Better Start Bradford services, you need to live in a Better Start Bradford area. Please click here to see if your postcode is one of their areas.

Better Start Bradford has lots of free activities happening throughout the year for families, volunteers and professionals in Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton. You can find more information on events here

Healthy Start NHS
Healthy Start offers free vouchers each week for you to buy milk, plain fresh or frozen fruit and vegetables, infant formula milk and free vitamins.

You could qualify for Healthy Start if you’re at least 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under four years old and you are in receipt of certain benefits. If you are under 18 and pregnant you could qualify, even if you don’t receive benefits. 

Better Start Bradford (HENRY Healthy Families Programme)
HENRY are passionate about babies and young children getting the best possible start in life. This means supporting the whole family to make positive lifestyle changes, creating healthier and happier home environments, and building healthier communities.

HENRY’s Healthy Families group programmes are available in family hubs and schools across the district  as well as in the Better Start Bradford areas; Bowling & Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton.

After your six week check-up One You can help you get healthier and feel better with free tips, and a health App to track and monitor you with a wide range of support. Whether it's moving more, eating more healthily, mental well-being or checking yourself – One You can help you make small, practical changes that fit in with your life.
