In this short film, Dr Khan explains how smoking and COPD can affect the lungs and airways in a way that’s easy to understand.

COPD - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is the name given to a group of lung conditions that cause difficulty breathing, these include Emphysema and Chronic Bronchitis. The most common cause of COPD is smoking.

COPD can cause you to cough and feel shortness of breath and make you feel tired. If you think this is you, particularly if you are a smoker, please make an appointment with your GP or health care professional as soon as possible.
